App Team is a fast-paced environment that runs like a company, using industry standard practices and Agile methodologies. At App Team, I work on engineering backend solutions (and dabble in writing Swift code), for the Centible App on one of our Startup Teams. Centible is a financing app built by students, for students. By linking your bank(s) with Plaid, you can categorize your transactions and track your spending habits.

This Fall I started working for The Daily Tar Heel as a Software Engineer on a team of eight! I work with my team to support the writing desks of The Daily Tar Heel. Right now, we're working on a web application that will allow users to see how they align with local election candidates. In the coming month, we will be building a real time application for coverage of the November election. I am so excited to be working on a project like this because it will be used by thousands of people in the Chapel Hill-Carborro area.
The Daily Tar Heel's website receives between 150,000 - 200,000 users a month, so I'm excited to be working on something that has such a profound impact on my University's community.

Panther Plates is a web application that enables all students at FIU to have easy access to dietary information that takes their needs, culture, and health conditions into account. With only two people, my partner and I were able to build something that has a real impact in a little over 24 hours. Even with two 12-hour overnight drives, almost no sleep, and copious amounts caffeine, it was a great time!
Built with: Python, JavaScript, React, Flask, Selenium, BeautifulSoup, MongoDB, OpenAI API

After building multiple computers, budgeting for each component was tedious and took hours of research. I created a large database of components, designed an algorithm, and made use of ChatGPT's 4o model to make this process seamless and instantaneous.
Built with: Python, TypeScript, Angular, Django REST Framework, ChatGPT API

Worked with a team of four that implemented new features for the Computer Science Experience Lab's website as part of a class project. Our feature elevated the relationship between students and the organizations they are a part of.
Built with: TypeScript, Python, Angular, SQLAlchemy, Fast API
